Being attuned to the present moment

So much of our work is about being attuned to what’s happening in the present moment- refining our ability to respond dynamically to the moment, in movement and in our interactions with each other.
The other day I accidentally locked my keys in my car (whoops!), just as a new family was arriving from out of state for an intensive. I greeted them outside, explained the situation, and found a place outside to work. We wound up having a terrific lesson on some stairs near my office, with the boy in the comfort of his mom’s lap. It set the tone for a great intensive full of safety, connection and learning.
